Sales - Technical Inside Sales Representative - Technical, Inside, Account Management

The Hartfiel Company, a distributor of pneumatic and motion control automation components, is seeking a Technical Inside Sales Representative for their Kansas City territory.  This critical role interacts with customers via phone, fax and/or e-mail to work through technical issues and answer general customer questions.  Through interaction with existing clients and new prospects, this role is responsible for maintaining and increasing market share in the Kansas City territory. 

 

This individual will need to research and find solutions to customer technical concerns as well as prepare quotations and coordinate product details for the sales team.While maintaining current client data, this role will prepare new client information for input into our customer database.  While soliciting the sale of new products and services, the internal sales team works with the outside sales staff in scheduling appointments and looking for additional opportunities.

 

To be successful in this role, an individual will need to learn focus products and have a practical knowledge of all additional product lines.  In addition they will need become certified in Action Selling and utilize these tools during daily sales activities.  Following quality processes and procedures and operating within the framework of The Hartfiel Company's mission, values, and vision statement will be critical.

 

This position requires an associates degree from an accredited college or technical school and/or three plus years experience in Technical Inside Sales or related field.  Experience with pneumatics and motion control automation components is preferred.  Skills managing a territory, building client relationships, and prospecting are also preferred.
