COOPER INDUSTRIES The statements included in this Job Description are intended to reflect, in general, the duties and responsibilities of this classification and are not intended to be interpreted as being all inclusive. _____________________________________________________________________ BASIC FUNCTION: To serve as liaison between commercial customers, the sales force and internal departments to process orders, inquires, quotations, return authorizations and credits in a timely manner; resolve customer problems and make recommendations for department improvements. _____________________________________________________________________ PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 1. Review inquiries for completeness and accuracy. a. Provides specifications, terms and conditions for review. b. Coordinate with Pricing Specialist / Materials to satisfy requirements. c. Provide Quotes to meet customers inquiry requirements. 2. Review all orders for accuracy, pricing, terms and conditions, delivery requirements, specifications and other contract requirements. a. Confer with other departments regarding order requirements. b. Prepare necessary paperwork and process order. 3. Follow-up and administer orders to meet customer requirements; coordinate with other departments to assure their requirements are met. 4. Coordinate and handle problems relating to customer orders and inquires and insure questions are answered accurately, completely and on time. 5. Make recommendations on stock items. 6. Insure returns and credits are processed quickly and accurately. 7. Initiate continuous customer communication including proactive selling of division product lines 8. Provide technical assistance to customers and field sales. 9. Maintain special pricing historical file on any non-price list quotation, document feedback for future, etc. 10. Perform similar or associated duties as required or directed. _____________________________________________________________________ EXPERIENCE: 1. Comprehensive knowledge of company product line, applications, manufacturing capabilities, sales and marketing functions to effect timely and effective coordination of product sales. 2. Considerable communications internally with personnel in Production Planning, Engineering and Finance and externally with customers, field sales representatives requiring human relations ability and persuasion to resolve product delivery and other problems and to maintain good relations with customers. QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent to three (3) plus years in sales coordinating and related activities within a manufacturing environment/facility.
