Summary of Position:

 

Digi International is seeking a focused, self-directed, results-oriented Inside Sales Representative to effectively manage and drive revenue growth for one of our US sales regions.  The position is responsible for the management and development of existing accounts as well as the cultivation of new customers within an assigned territory.  This position requires someone who can excel in a fast-paced, multi-faceted, consultative sales environment.  The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, an engaging phone presence paired with excellent oral and written communication skills, high moral and ethical standards, strong technical aptitude, and the ability to thrive in a challenging position. 

 

Essential Duties:

 

· Territory Management (Direct and Channel Customers):

· Develop and maintain favorable relationships with all key contacts and decision makers within assigned account base.

· Maintain an in depth knowledge of key accounts including but not limited to: revenue history and future projections, new product development, future technology needs, etc.

· Grow sales volume and application wins within existing customer base.

· Develop new business/revenue opportunities sufficient to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas and objectives.

· Proactive and timely follow up of all sales leads to discover and qualify opportunities.

· Prospect for new customers and opportunities in key markets.

· Provide accurate product usage forecast.

· Develop and maintain accurate sales funnel.

· Communicate product and technology requirements to management.

· Coordinate advanced technical and field sales support when required.

· Document sales activity in CRM.

· Develop and deliver effective sales presentations.

· Participate in trade shows and customer training programs where necessary.

· Keep up to date on new product introductions, market trends, competitors and emerging technologies in the embedded control space.

· Team effectively with other company personnel to support customer’s needs and company objectives.

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Ability to travel up to 20% of time.

Experience and/or Education:

 

The ideal candidate will hve 3-5 years of sales/account management experience.  A bachelor's degree and technical

sales experience is a plus.
