We are looking for a “get-it-done” professional to manage sales for the mid-Atlantic region, a sales professional who has proven accomplishments contributing on both strategic and tactical levels, and who has at least some of that experience with power equipment/vehicle/automotive components.  This is a growth opportunity; the company is looking to the Sales Manager to grow and build the regional customer base for all products, and expand products into existing customers. This opportunity will count on you being a strategic contributor to the planning and growth of revenue and exposure for all product lines, which include retail, commercial and industrial markets. The company is established, and continually introducing new products and creating new product applications. We need a manager with vision and follow-up skills, who can also manage the coordinators and technical engineers that support you. The position is home-based and requires about 50% travel, not including trade shows. There is significant customer contact. Please inquire if you have specific questions after reading this description. RESPONSIBILITIES will include: Maintain, develop, and grow sales at designated and targeted key accounts within territory. Demonstrate efforts and results for measurable improvement of profitability and sales at key accounts. Develop and implement sales and account strategies in accordance with corporate goals. Direct sales plan/forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly. Review served market to determine customer needs, market price, and recommend course of action. Work with Product Management to identify product simplification, consolidation, and standardization to gain optimum value and eliminate unprofitable items from sales line. Represent company at trade shows and association meetings to promote product. Deliver sales presentations to key customers (Engineering, Purchasing, Management, at customer). Develop strong customer relationships and have ability in negotiating and closing deals. Work in Team environment with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, and the Sales Group to maintain speed and responsiveness to Customers, and collaborate on ideas, issues, concerns. Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements. Maintain monthly sales reports, business growth chart identifying business opportunities and areas of focus for product development. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the activities and products of the competition.QUALIFICATIONS for this Sales Manager, Regional are: Minimum 3-5 years experience in a position directly related to the job description above. In addition, specific experience developing sales strategies and plans, and implementing them through specific tactical activities, according to plan, and meeting sales plan objectives. Proven skills (and references to support that experience) finding, developing and closing new business and accounts, and developing existing accounts in component sales. Winning personal style and rapport-building skills, and excellent presentation skills at all levels. Customer-driven focus, with the ability to effectively work with and communicate with multi-functional groups both within and outside the company, to drive strategic objectives. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelors degree highly preferred; will consider Associates degree and additional years of experience. Preference given for automotive or industrial vehicle aftermarket experience.Please do not apply if you do not have qualifications as noted above. The position is home-office based, in the Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, southern Virginia region, and includes a company car.
