Sales Inventory Operations Planner (SIOP)

Jacuzzi Whirlpool Bath (a Division of Jacuzzi Brands Corp.), seeks a Sales Inventory Operations Planner (SIOP) for its Valdosta, GA manufacturing facility. POSITION SUMMARY

This role is focused on developing and deploying the Sales-Inventory-Operations Plan (SIOP) process for the JWB business.Coordinates with all departments to determine actual performance, future trends, and constraints; assists in sales order scheduling, with the production group. Interfaces include all functions in operations as well as support functions - finance, sales, and production management.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES   

· Develops, publishes, and maintains the master production schedule, establishing proper inventory levels and replenishment cycles, resources, and capacity. Negotiates corrective actions to product schedules when dictated by changes in business.

· Process owner for demand and supply planning.

· Align demand plan with Financial Annual Operating Plan requirements and sales account plans.

· Lead process to translate demand plan into capacity and inventory plan.

· Responsible for all inventory control functions and perpetual accuracy.  ID excess and obsolete SKU’s 

· Establish and drive operating system across sales, product management, finance, factories, and sourcing teams to achieve consensus in tangible plan and revenue projection for the total business. 

· Optimize factory capacity planning to best serve financial annual operating plan commitments.

· SIOP strategy and tool development and deployment.

· Deployment of the optimum techniques to improve forecast accuracy given the demand stream characteristics observed. 

· Development of guidelines and trigger-points for supply and demand alignment decisions.

· Daily orders and revenue reporting deployment.

· Enabling On-Time-Delivery improvement through SIOP process rationalization.

· Assures that all processes result in the lowest possible variation in revenue & inventory forecasts.

· Acts as liaison between Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales to control the Master Schedule. Assists other production support groups in achieving corporate goals.

· Participates in new/sustaining product teams, representing materials, scheduling, and revenue concerns.

· Participates in activities to ensure engineering changes are consistent with the production plans and inventories. Coordinates effectively with Purchasing, Planning, and Production.

· Develops and documents internal and interface procedures to ensure consistent Master Scheduling policy, and for assembly scheduling.

· Reports changes to projected monthly or quarterly goals.

· Assists Customer Service in scheduling sales orders and supporting customer requirements. Develops and maintains planning bills of material and planning databases.

· Monitors performance to Master Schedule.

· Manages warehouse space requirements and distribution costs including all inbound and customer freight costs

· Analyzes and updates system planning data such as lead times, safety stock, etc.

· Ideal candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years experience in manufacturing with emphasis in planning, scheduling and inventory control.

· BA or BS is a plus in business related field with production/operations research, marketing, and inventory management a plus.

· A.P.I.C.S. certification is a plus.
