Sales Account Executive - East Region

JOB SUMMARY:

  Covers all sales functions in an assigned territory of Long Island, the 5 boroughs, Rhode Island and Connecticut: forecasts, solicits and secures orders from potential and existing customers, provides customer service as required, and prepares periodic reports as required. Sells entire product set to targeted mid-to-large tier territory while also supporting branch offices of national accounts. Account load is targeted for 70- 125 accounts with annual sales volume of over $4.0MM

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

· Understanding and assessing customer’s business objectives, strategies, and requirements.

· Identify solutions to meet account needs

· Ensuring high-level of customer satisfaction and contact with strategic accounts to maximize overall sales.

· Over all account mgt including detailed planning and forecasting.

· Secures orders forms from existing and potential customers by means of visiting the customer facility or contracting by phone.

· Secures opportunities to quote on customer requirements.

· Follows up (by phone or visit) on quotations submitted to customers.

· Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel).

· Submits weekly activity/ call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.

· Performs all assigned duties in the assigned sales territory.

· Provides lost business reports on a weekly basis.

· Provides a territory sales forecast on a monthly basis.

· Work with inside sales representative team closely on account migrations and on going customer contacts.
