Safety/HR Manager
Basic Function:
Â
HR Manager with strategic safety direction and oversee the tactical implementation of safety-related initiatives. Possess exceptional leadership, project management, organizational and mentoring capabilities, as well as proven accomplishments in the successful implementation of safety initiatives and improvements.
Â
Work Performed Includes:
Effectively develop and implement programs, practices, and procedures to reduce the frequency and severity of accidental loss in the areas of workers' compensation, general and auto liability, and property.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, which are designed to protect the human, financial, and physical assets of the Corporation.Creates a Corporate-wide safety culture through safety training, risk assessments, crisis management, emergency and evacuation plans, and behavior modification programsWill also lead other HR initiatives not related to safety.
Desired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Human Resources, or related field or equivalent; supplemented with three (3) years of related experience. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) licensure and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred. Knowledge of federal, state, and local loss prevention regulations.Strong organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills are required.Computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint software, as well as internet and email.Ability to design, implement, and control a safety programAbility to conduct safety inspections of buildings and equipment
