STOCK/SHIPPING CLERK - PART TIME

ABOUT US:  Metro Door, Inc. in Great River, New York, is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of security enclosures and a major provider of incident related repair services nationwide.  Our customers include Fortune 100 retailers and major nationwide chains.  Metro Door's USA Facilities Maintenance division provides all types of maintenance and emergency repair services including gate repair, replacement door repair, locksmithing, glass, film, board ups, plumbing, electrical and handyman services.  Due to our outstanding growth and continued success, Metro Door Inc. is looking for a part time stock/shipping clerk.

JOB DESCRIPTION:  The part time stock/shipping clerk will, under the supervision of the Parts Purchasing, be responsible for the following:Keeping the parts room organized and properly labeledKeeping a count on inventory and advising of re-orders, as necessaryPicking/packing of daily outgoing stock ordersReceiving in of all stock orders, verifying totals to packing slipsHandling all discrepancies between ordered and received totalsPeriodic inventory countsHandling Parts RA's from inception to receipt of creditCarrying mail down to main desk of building 1X per dayGeneral lifting/moving of office boxes, when neededOther miscellaneous duties, as required

Must be computer literate, able to navigate programs and enter data accurately.  Must take direction well and be reliable and punctual.  Good communication and phone skills necessary.  Must speak fluent English.  Lifting up to 50 lbs and use of hand truck required.  Hours are Monday - Friday, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm with 1/2 hour for lunch; 27.50 hours total weekly.
