Job Description SAP MM/PP Analyst Job Summary/Purpose: The SAP MM/PP Analyst will work closely with the Manufacturing department in configuring and maintaining the SAP MM and PP modules. Individual will provide tactical support to the business unit and apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to help maximize the benefit of SAP in the manufacturing environment. Successful candidate must be a self-starter and will proactively work with Operations end users and team members on support, implementation, training, and optimization issues. Essential Job Functions:· Ensure the business group needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with Ops management and team.· Work effectively with other enterprise-wide IT resources, Business Analysts and Contractors and business representatives during implementation.· Participate in all phases of the implementation process and rollout of SAP modules (as required).· Assist with development of overall process expertise in SAP by conducting extensive user-focused training sessions.· Participate in technical and business process issue resolution.· Work aggressively to ensure product Master Data accuracy and integration, and lead efforts to correct issues/problems, as required.· Perform testing activities (unit and integration) and test execution in conjunction with the other functional and SAP core team resources· Review, create, and deliver training content; Develop work aids for Ops users, where applicable· Set up new material numbers, as required; extend MM views, create routers and BOM/s, and assembly costing, where applicable· Support Sales and Service organizations by helping to clear invoicing errors, blocking/unblocking materials, and updating material master data records· Work with Finance organization production variance reconciliation, cost rolls, and cost updates, as required.· Other duties as assigned Other Job Responsiblities:· Position is responsible for overall MM and PP modules, as well as team leadership of SAP projects, enhancements and on-going functional support. · Establish controls to reduce and eliminate product cost/margin errors· Maintain ownership of product costing for all standard and non-standard assemblies· Lead effort to transition legacy procucts to variable configurator (VC) and support launch of new products with required VC capability Supervisory Responsibility: None Qualifications: Hands-on work experience in SAP utilizing variant configuration (VC) Hands-on work experience setting up and maintaining products in SAP (materials, BOM's, routings, workcenters) Hands-on work experience with configuration in the SAP R/3 modules PP and MM (3+ years preferred) BS degree in computer science or related field preferred· Strong and “demonstrated” verbal and written communication skills with the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms required.· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and Project).Key Competencies:· Action oriented, dealing with ambiguity, learning on the fly, problem solving, customer focus, drive for results, timely decision making, priority setting, peer relationships, process management, listening, functional/technical skills Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
