We currently have openings for Rotating Equipment Mechanic positions at our Houston/Deer Park location
The mechanic disassembles, inspects, assembles, reworks, troubleshoots and tests rotating equipment to exacting tolerances by performing the following duties.
Disassembly and inspection of rotating equipment to determine repair requirements on both Weir and non-Weir brand equipment. Completion of inspection reports to determine scrap, refurbishment or replacement of components. Using various pneumatic tools, hand tools, acetylene torch, and presses required to disassemble and assemble rotating equipment. Troubleshooting and reworking components to ensure proper functioning of rotating equipment. On occasion, travel to the customer’s site to perform field services on rotating equipment.
Education and/or Experience
§ High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with a minimum of 5 years related experience
§ Must have a strong understanding of rotating equipment principles and concepts
§ Understand engineering drawings
§ Understand various metallic properties
§ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
§ Ability to work with and to train others
§ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
