Regional Sales and Marketing Manager

Axsys Technologies, a public company with sales of $200M and multiple operating divisions located throughout the US, manufactures and sells a broad range of high performance electro-mechanical and electro-optical components and sub-assemblies to the aerospace, defense, electronics capital equipment, graphic arts and medical imaging markets. We presently have a need for a Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for our Rochester Hills, MI and Cullman, AL locations.

 

This position will lead the regional sales and marketing efforts for electro-optical and opto-mechanical products and will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing efforts for the western region of the United States consisting of increasing share in core markets as well as identifying and penetrating new markets through product line extensions and product concepts.

 

QualificationsUS Citizen or US PersonBS degree in Marketing, Engineering or related field.Proven experience in business planning, market forecasting and strategic analysis a must.Prior demonstrated ability to increase sales through market share gain as well as successful marketing of new products to existing and new customers.5 years of sales and marketing experience in commercial as well as aerospace and defense industries.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication skills.Solid planning/time management skills and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership. ITAR / EAR experience.

 

ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business opportunitiesProvide updated sales forecast and booking informationProvide on-site customer consultation, give product related presentations, and attend trade shows.Identify opportunities, prioritize & help develop winning sales strategies.Develop an understanding of customers' need (products and services), and of how competitors use their technologies and sales strategies to meet those customer needs.Provide ongoing customer support after product launch.
