Primary Objective:
The Internal Installation / RMA Lead is responsible for planning and carrying out Netezza's internal inventory rotation installations and de-installations. The position is responsible for managing the day to day activities in the RMA processing area. Daily operational duties include improving existing operational processes in these areas; working with Operations, Technical Support, Engineering and Finance as well as preparing related documentation and reports.
Accountability/Scope (range of responsibilities):
This person must be self-motivated and self-directed and take a positive approach to working in a team environment. Independent decisions are made daily. Must have the ability to prioritize and manage their workload. Tasks will involve project management and the position does include employee supervision. Should have a good knowledge of Netezza's product lines and inventory financial control procedures. Good interpersonal skills in working with vendors, peers, cross-functionally and good organizational, planning and time management skills are essential.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for Netezza's internal RMA processing and reporting system
Manage Netezza's internal material inventory for parts
Installation of internal systems used by Netezza employees and POC customers
This includes physical assembly, software upgrade and network connectivity
May include some field installations and de-installations
This requires flexibility to accommodate growing and evolving company needs and requirements
A close, productive working relationship with Engineering is essential
