Quality/Reliability Engineer
Quality Reliability Engineer Tyco Safety Products is a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions. Scott Health & Safety/Tyco Safety Products is currently searching for a Quality Reliability Engineer to be located in Monroe, North Carolina. Job Responsibilities: In this role, this position is primarily responsible for reviewing new product designs and product design changes to determine the reliability test requirements. This will include, but is not limited to designing test equipment, test protocols, analysis of test results and reporting test results. In addition this position is involved with resolution of product non-conformances which occur during and or after manufacturing including field returns.1. Review of new product designs and product design changes2. Design and fabricate test equipment and test plans3. Perform failure analysis on product non-conformances4. Communicate effectively with interfacing departments to resolve quality issues as needed5. Apply and promote quality system policy and procedures6. Report on key metrics and participate in improvement objectives7. Propose and lead statistical studies to understand and reduce variation Requirements: Job Requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. 2. 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment is required.3. 3+ years experience in a quality/reliability engineering role is preferred.4. Knowledge of MIL specs/standards, re: reliability testing 5. Knowledge of NIOSH, NFPA, IS regulatory requirements 6. Six Sigma Black certified or trained7. ASQ CQE/CRE8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab, Labview9. Must possess excellent verbal and written and communication skills.
