Quality Process Manager

Versa-Matic Pump (A Unit of IDEX Corporation) a manufacturer of air-operated diaphragm pumps is seeking a Quality Process Manager.  This position, located at our Export, PA facility, will be responsible for verifying and maintaining a high level of quality for supplier components as well as internally produced product through the use of quality driven processes. Coordinate implement part approval processes as well as interface with engineering to promote design for manufacturability and quality.

Responsibilities include reducing reliance on incoming/receiving inspection for purchased part verification, instill developing supplier process control.  Lead, sustain and continually refine ISO 9001-2000 system.  Recommends improvements, and monitors implementation of changes. Promotes design for manufacturability by working and engineering and suppliers.  Supervise inspections on parts using CMM, manual gauges, and measurement devices.  Ensure the documentation of inspection results and production part approval process.  Interface with business unit engineering teams to ensure components are optimized for manufacturing/assembly.

A Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. At least 10 years experience in a related role, 5 years experience in supplier quality, quality or manufacturing engineering and 5 years experience in supporting ISO 9001-2000 certification. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Tools and One-Piece-Flow preferred. Experience with geometric tolerance and related gauges, test equipment and CMM preferred. Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
