We are seeking candidates for a variety of Volt positions onsite at Caterpillar's facility located in Joliet, IL. Manufacturing Technician / Quality Observer (Process Performance):-CLIENT IS LOOKING TO HIRE 6 CANDIDATES. THIS POSITION IS FOR TWO SHIFTS. ONE SHIFT IS FROM 7:00 AM TO 7:00 PM AND OTHER IS FROM 7:00 PM TO 7:00 AM. It is a 4 months contract position and will have around 60 hours per week. Looking for candidates who have good manufacturing background and very familiar with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles. The successful candidate will manage various production processes throughout Order Fulfillment by measuring process performance, identifying gaps and driving forward tactical plans to improve overall OEE. Responsibilities: Develops key processes for factory; maintains productivity standards and scoreboard process and serves as owner of integration process. Responsible for meeting OEE improvements and performance measurements. Leads efforts against total waste and lean productivity initiatives. Work as part of production support team to drive product and process improvements. Manage a variable workload to meet operational requirements. Identify and put in place permanent and effective technical / system solutions to problems. Ensure goals and objectives are met and understood by effective communication, building an atmosphere of openness, honesty and flexibility with individuals and within the team environment. Applying Lean principles, identify and develop improvements that increase key process metrics of yield, throughput and productivity. Become the resident expert in operation of the process and machine. ***Key responsibility is managing the overall equipment performance (OEE) through the appropriate use of Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.*** Requirements: Motivated to work on own initiative and the ability to make and implement decisions. Knowledge of 6 sigma and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills. A demonstrated ability to solve problems with innovative and cost effective solutions.
