Because of our continued growth and success in the marketplace, TKE Manufacturing is expanding its quality and process improvement resources. We are seeking mid-level Electrical/Mechanical Engineers, five years of experience, with "hands-on" problem solving as related to large electro-mechanical equipment.
Position overview:
We are seeking qualified lean six sigma process experts with an engineering background. These individual must have a keen understanding and sound credentials in process improvement and engineering. They must be able to demonstrate their “hands-on” project leadership and participation in process improvement.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must possess the following:
· BS/MS degree in Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical preferred), or an MBA degree with a science/engineering undergraduate degree required.
· Certified as a Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt (minimum).
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-tech manufacturing/service (electro-mechanical devices) and at least two years in an operations improvement role with experience in managing a team through process improvement projects.
· Experience in developing and improving business processes to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives.
· Able to implement operational excellence concepts and tools, such as value stream mapping, business process redesign, lean, six sigma, modeling and simulation, cycle time reduction, line-layout for single piece flow, 5S, QFD, etc.
· Excellent problem solving skills – demonstrated through lean six sigma project completion.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to take initiative and be accountable for results
· Knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access.
· Must have the ability to access physically restrictive areas (building mechanical rooms, small confined spaces, etc.) for plant and site visits and investigations
Roles & ResponsibilitiesManage Process improvement projects that are assignedOversee/facilitate a portfolio of projects (3 to 4 at one time and 10 to 12 per year)Help define business processes, process owners, metrics, and plans for lean six sigma improvementTrain & mentor management with the tools required to improve their business process capabilitiesManage process owner relationships and understand their priorities, plans, and key concernsBecome a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in an area of the business, understand the benchmarks and best practices, and drive ideas for change into the process Leadership of project teams and participate on teams to improve the operational performance.Provide electrical/meachanical engineering support and troubleshooting to the project teams. Also provide a technical interface with the project team and the functional groups.Foster an environment of quality and lean (fast and flexible to respond to customer needs and changes in the business)
