We are dedicated to research and development investment to anticipate the survivability needs of the warfighter and their vehicle, utilizing the most advanced metal, ceramic and composite technologies available. Under immediate supervision, performs routine and simple engineering tasks to assist in product and/or process design and/or modification. This is an entry level engineering position.The basic purpose and objective of this position is to provide engineering expertise to meet the engineering design and documentation requirements for a family of military vehicles. Included but not limited to this expertise is the ability to analyze, test, and report findings of Root Cause/Corrective Action and suggest improvements to the configuration of the product or design of the process. In order to perform in this environment the incumbent must posses the necessary education and technical abilities to review, understand, and interpret documentation, drawings and specifications, in accordance with military, commercial, and federal standards. In addition the incumbent must be computer literate and posses good communication skills in order to interface with every department in the company as well as customers and vendors. Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering with 0 to 2 years experience working in the manufacturing industry. Intermediate to proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet and analysis software (SPC, statistical analysis, or similar software) are required.The following are preferred: Knowledge of MIL-Q-9858A and MIL-STD-1520C; Knowledge of ISO/QS-9000 Systems; Statistical Process Control (SPC); Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience; and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) experience.Interest in obtaining or working toward obtaining Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt highly preferred.
