We are currently seeking a talented, self-motivated Quality Control and Receiving Technicican to join our Service Center team.  This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Austin, TX

 

SUMMARY

 

Work in Quality Assurance department, supporting and assisting QA Manager. Maintain documents and records of quality system according to FDA, QSR, and ISO regulations and requirements as well as quality policy and procedures. Test and inspect products at various stages of production process; compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Receive incoming material and perform receiving inspections on manufacturing material according to procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Receives incoming materials in inventory control software.Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or appropriate staff to determine quality and reliability standards.Work with calibrated tools and test equipment. Maintain calibration schedule and records of test equipment.Perform incoming, final, and outgoing tests and inspections on manufacturing material or finished product; evaluate statistical data to determine passing or failing status; maintain and evaluate quality and reliability of products according to procedure.Identify and appropriately document non-compliances.Place approved product accordingly into physical and software inventory.Demonstrate document control and quality control compliance with associated regulations and standards to internal and external auditors as required.Assist with the development and maintenance of quality system procedures and documents. Maintain, distribute and track controlled documents.Monitor external department compliance with document control policy / procedure.Monitor and maintain device history records.Provide training and support of quality system procedures as needed.Communicate with suppliers regarding quality issues and coordinate material return to suppliers.Recommend modifications of existing quality or production procedures to achieve optimum quality standards.The individual may be required to perform other duties within the scope of the job and his/her ability as requested by management.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 Ability to demonstrate proficiency with typical MS Office software products, including but not limited to, Word, Excel. Ability to work independently, take initiative and assume responsibility.Ability to write and edit technical procedures in a concise manner.A minimum of 1 year technical writing experience is preferred.A minimum of 2 years experience in maintaining quality documentations systems is preferred.

· GMP and ISO Requirements particularly related to document control and quality control responsibilities.

· Document control and quality control and related quality assurance procedures.
