Quality Assurance Technician
Summary of Position: Reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead Technician, this position ensures finished good product functionality through the process of procedural testing and verification for the Portland operation. Job Responsibilities: The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for: 1. The pre-testing of circuit board assemblies.2. The verification of product functionality through the final testing of finished good product.3. The cosmetic verification of finished good product.4. Proficiency in hand soldering for through hole and surface mount circuit boards.5. Diagnosing and repairing circuit boards and finished good product.6. The proper creation and processing of required quality assurance documentation.7. Pulling inventory, assembling and soldering of all custom PC boards, as needed for assigned and upcoming systems.8. Pulling inventory, assembling and soldering of all custom controls, as needed for assigned and upcoming systems.9. Programming of specific integrated circuit chips, as needed for controls.10. Final testing of systems before shipment to customer.11. Documentation, processing and completion of the appropriate paperwork (work orders) for Inventory Control.12. Use of air powered screw-guns, drills and other hand tools. Job Qualifications: 1. An Associates degree, or equivalent experience.2. Proficient in the use of soldering irons and hand power tools.3. Proficient in the use of electronic testing and measuring devices.4. Able to read wiring schematics and/or riser diagrams.5. Knowledge of electronic devices, dimming, and/or lighting controls.6. Physical Demands: 1. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, listen, talk and use hand/finger motions to operate hand and power tools. A certain amount of walking is required, as well.2. Employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.3. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but is occasionally loud.
