QC Inspector

Primary Job Duties Or Essential Output: This quality, service oriented company specializing in the rebuilding of babbitt-lined bearings is seeking an addition in the inspection/deburring department.  Looking for someone with a tool and die or similar background, to use machinist measuring devices (micrometer, etc) to ensure proper measurements before shipping.  Will also assist in intake of damage bearings, which may require the ability make simple blueprint-like sketches.  Company works with parts from 2 inch ID to 30 ID, and can handle up ti 52 inch ID.  Parts will weigh from 5 to 1,000lbs.

Secondary Duties: Will also assist with the re-assembly of bearings as needed.  Inspection is likely to be only 30% of the job, and 70% will be assembly, de-burring and other general machining requirements.

Minimum Requirements / Experience: Ability to utilize all standard ID, OD inspection tools.

Personality Requirements: A hobby interest in automotive, very mechanically inclined, and detail oriented person.  Must be willing to work occassional overtime, including Saturday when needed

Experience With Specific Equipment or Machinery: Candidate should have good mechanical background, having some familiarity with lathe, boring bar milling machines and be detail oriented.
