Purchasing/Buyer

Isolatek International, the industry leader in the marketing and manufacturing of fire protection materials for the construction industry, is seeking an energetic driven and results-oriented Buyer for its Corporate Headquarters located in Stanhope, New Jersey.

The buyer directly impacts company profits through the process of supply management with is the timely sourcing and delivery of competitive quality products and services from a minimal supplier base. Establishes, modifies and manages a supplier base that meets or exceeds target performance expectations of quality, cost, service and market support.

Key responsibilities include:Establishing, modifying and managing the supplier baseParticipating in the selection of domestic and foreign suppliersParticipating in the managing and control the company’s finished goods inventoryNegotiating and establishing reliable lead timesIncreasing inventory turns to match corporate objectivesImproving on time delivery performancePurchase order management

 

Qualifications:2-4 years of Purchasing experience preferable in a manufacturing environment.Proven track record in cost containment/reductionPlanning experienceBachelors degreeProficiency in Microsoft Office Oracle experience a plus.
