Rolled Alloys is an expanding metals service center which specializes in processing and supplying stainless steels, nickel and cobalt superalloys, and titanium in all mill product forms.  Our materials are used in a wide variety of industries including gas turbines, industrial furnaces, power boilers, and chemical processing. To serve these industries Rolled Alloys is a global company with multiple locations throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. 

 

We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent / Buyer to work at our Sapulpa, Oklahoma location to support our growing product line.

 

 

Duties will include various responsibilities such as:

 

·  Procure products within assigned product line in a timely and cost effective manner.

·  Review daily exceptions, purchase order status, and order action reports and take appropriate action; must know when/where to buy goods and services.

·  Perform materials quotation for prices and delivery; negotiate best value with suppliers.

·  Ensure timely delivery of material to support sales and manufacturing.

·  Develop new/better/alternate sources of supply.

·  Evaluate and provide performance data to existing suppliers, including quality and on-time delivery.

·  Qualify new suppliers via surveys and/or audits.

·  Maintain purchasing data in computer system so that it is always current.

·  Maintain appropriate lead times for all products in the system.

·  Identify and reduce long lead times in the system.

·  Perform other assignments as required.

 

 

The successful candidate will possess:3 - 5 years experience in a Purchasing Agent / Buyer role.Organized and able to manage multiple changing priorities while meeting deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with personnel at all levels throughout the business. Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated analytical ability. Detail oriented, self-motivated, and posses excellent organizational skills.Must be able to work in an often times fast-paced atmosphere under pressure

 

Prior experience in the metals industry and/or APICS certification is a definitive plus, but not a requirement.
