Project Manager/Estimator

A Houston Area family owned and operated interior sign company, Lassiter Industries, manufactures and installs high quality architectural signage throughout the country.  The company offers an excellent product to a customer base that includes oil companies, law firms, major corporations, accounting firms, hospitals and universities. Sales are growing at a rapid rate, attributable primarily to an excellent product line, repeat business and referrals from a distinguished list of satisfied customers.

 

Lassiter Industries is looking for a Houston Project Manager / Estimator.

This position will be responsible to manage large custom signage projects.  Duties will include estimating and negotiating custom signage projects with developers, architects, end users, designers, and dealers.  Secure and process the orders including contracts, credit, and order entry, and coordinate shop drawings and sample requirements.  Visit jobsites to verify field conditions and attend project meetings.  Provide constant communication with the production department and customers.  Research products and materials.

 

The successful candidate must be very articulate with a professional business appearance.

 

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business or engineering with an emphasis on manufacturing. Majors such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Distribution would qualify.  In addition, the candidate must have a proven track record in a project management environment.  The ability to utilize standard computer software such as File Maker Pro, Microsoft Excel, Corel Draw, and others are required.  Excellent math skills are a must.  Qualified candidates will have strong communication skills, display an attitude of cooperation and the ability to multi-task while maintaining organization and efficiency.   Lassiter Industries is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator who exhibits initiative, a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and leadership skills.  This position reports directly to the president.
