Position Title: Project Engineer: Software Design 8470Position Summary:Responsible for the definition of software requirements, software design, code development, and test of embedded software for flight control systems or missile products (as per RTCA/DO-178B requirements). Manage software project team to perform per plan. Manage subcontract resources to ensure compliance with project requirements. Support State of Involvement (SOI level 1-4) audits with customer and DER. Responsibilities:1. Support customer design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and SOI audits by preparing presentation materials and SDRL items. 2. Interface with the customers, program managers, and other team members from various disciplines.3. Software project leadership involving resource management, metrics generation, and status reporting.4. Proposal preparation and related activities.5. Some travel to customer sites may be required.Requirements:1. Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.2. Minimum of 8 years of related experience in Aerospace industry.3. Experienced in electronic hardware and firmware design preferred.4. Experienced in software development, verification, and certification processes per RTCA/DO-178B.5. Required: Aerospace experience.6. Flight Controls related product experience preferred.7.
