Project Engineer BSEE

A $3 billion building materials company is seeking a Project Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining excellence in developing, executing and controlling assigned projects to achieve site goals. The Project Engineer will conduct analysis and investigations pertaining to construction of new facilities, and alteration or modification of existing facilities to optimize productive capability of the plant. Project recommendations are made taking into consideration such factors as cost, structure, maintainability, facility of production and availability of materials and equipment with emphasis on safety and optimum performance.  The Project Engineer will manage electrical projects from conception to completion, utilizing both in-house maintenance personnel and outside contractors; focus on he design and/or improvement of electrical and mechanical systems that manage, protect and improve our production equipment and processes; and manage the site’s operation and boiler operation. The position will report to the Plant Manager and will have with nine reports, including developing and maintaining comprehensive procedures, policies and systems to improve safety, training, quality and efficiency.Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a self motivated and adaptive person capable of successfully handling a variety of engineering assignments in addition to the traditional project engineering function. Thorough knowledge of and experience with electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, PLCs and AC/DC drives.
