Project Engineer

This position will be responsible for the Design and engineering for drilling rig projects.

 

Essential Duties:Sizing equipment and preparing sub-component specifications Preparing bills of materials for drilling rigsDesigning hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Creating general arrangement and other drawingsPreparing test & commissioning instructionsTechnical support for sales, manufacturing, commercial, and purchasing departments.

Education and/or Experience

Mechanical Engineering degree – or equivalent experience

Engineering knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and materials

Experience with oil drilling rigs is preferred

Ability to use CAD software & MRP systems

Excellent communication with people at all levels of the organization.

Good time management and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills in order to manage multiple projects.

Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to create bills of material, specifications, manufacturing drawings, and customer documentation.
