Project Electrical Engineer
Position: Project Electrical Engineer
Reports to: Engineering Manager
Status: Full-Time Salaried Exempt
Position Description Candidate will contribute as staff project engineer within a technical product development environment while assigned to multiple projects. Experience in the areas of high voltage power supply design, including specification development, conceptual prototyping, manufacturing and testing, Design Verification Build and Testing, and Agency testing are key requirements of this position. Position will require cross- functional involvement with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Technical Services personnel.
Education BSEE/BSEET required
MSEE preferred
Experience 5-10 years project engineering experience including:
* PCBA design with tools such as Spice, etc.
* PCBA functional testing, including ICT.
* FMEA/PFMEA/DOE/DFM/Lean Manufacturing.
* Verification and Validation of systems and product.
* Wire Harness and cabling design and testing.
* EMI/EMC/ESD suppression techniques.
* High Voltage compatible materials awareness.
* Component level debug using standard lab
equipment.
* Component and System level test design.
* Ability to interact productively with vendors
regarding component sourcing and reliability issues.
* Strong ability to perform formal FA, Root Cause, and
Corrective Action tasks related to product reliability
issues.
5-10 years experience working within NPI models such as
Stage Gate or Toll Gate. Exposure to PMI, Certification
preferred. 5-10 years experience working within ISO or
QSR based quality systems, with a strong emphasis on
Design Control and QFD principles.
Environment Must be an independent, creative, results-oriented thinker with an outstanding ability to communicate and interact cross-functionally within a leading edge, technology driven startup company.
