Programmer/Analyst (2 openings)
MSA (Mine Safety Appliances Company) is the global leader in the development, manufacture, and supply of sophisticated safety products, instruments, and services that protect people’s health, safety, and the environment. Our company has an immediate need for two Programmer/Analysts at our Corporate Headquarters.
This position reports to the Manager, Data Management. Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Ability to analyze, develop and modify programs with a focus on ASP.NET, C#, JAVA, HTML, CSS and J2EE.Ability to analyze, develop and modify programs in any number of various disciplines such as SQL, ColdFusion, Lotus Domino, or Lotus Script.Knowledge of SAP R/3 and/or SAP Business One with a focus on SAP’s proprietary ABAP programming language including; reporting, transactional programming, interfaces, SAPscript, Remote Function Calls (RFCs), Business Application Program Interface (BAPIs), Workflow and User Exits, is preferred.Successfully handle multiple projects, completing them on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations.
Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:Thorough knowledge of the .Net development platform.Thorough knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and object-oriented designExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Travel as required for education, conferences and on-site projects and implementations.
Education and experience required:High School DiplomaMinimum 2 years of IT related experience Net or other web programming experience with a focus on enterprise web development.
Preferred:Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline.
