Production Coordinator- call (510) 668-0580Description: The Production Coordinator reports to the Plant Manager . Responsible for coordination, communicating and following up on Production Orders reconciliation and closure for manufacturing. Must review and ensure accurate data is being entered against all Production Order reporting fields. Responsible for the timeliness of Production Order closing and inventory integrity. Heavily involved in scheduling production operations to ensure a smooth flow of materials while balancing machine utilization and customer delivery schedules. Essential Duties/Responsibilities • Creates and processes all production orders in SAP, including tracking and expediting when necessary. • Maintains inventory records, prepares inventory reports, and initiates material movements as required. • Schedules shipment with production; arranges transportation of product; prepares shipping paperwork. • Coordinates removal of scrap from production floor. • Daily management of open orders, part shortages and status updates. • Updates production activity daily and adjust production plan to compensate for daily variations in production activity. • Responsible for the production data entry into record keeping database. • Prints and distributes required production travelers and paperwork. • Addresses material shortages in a timely manner, escalating issues when necessary. • Other duties as assigned by manager such as assisting during inventory with data entry, auditing, or purchasing indirect materials. Needs to be ready to take on additional duties as they are required.
