Production Coordinator

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *Supervise associates in all phases of training and production *Pre-shift communication with alternate crews and managers *Carry out all Lean Sigma initiatives and 5-S initiatives *Assures that all machines are operable and adequate raw materials are in stock.  Checks schedules against machine availability and orders *Enter mechanical problems on maintenance log; generate work orders *Observe associates efficiency, work performance, safety practices, scrap and waste usage *Provide overall assistance when needed to associates and lead techniciansREQUIREMENTS: *Results driven individual with good attention to details; critical thinker with good written and oral communication skills *Good understanding of business principles and practices *Ability to create working relationships across all segments of the business and interface with other facilities process techniciansBACKGROUND: *3 to 5 years of experience in a demanding manufacturing environment *Computer background *Ability to work in a team based environment *Proven ability to develop new tools in product costing initiativesEDUCATION: 5 + years of manufacturing; BS degreee desired Since 1946, Spherion has been helping talented individuals find rewarding job opportunities that drive excellence in their career.
