Production Control Manager

We are currently seeking a Production Control Manager.



PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Oversee production control personnel and pull system maintenance functions in the execution of the Master Production schedule.   Interface with Sales and Manufacturing to plan production requirements and manage the MPR system.  Support the installation of the JDE enterprize system to ensure we always have "only the right material at the right place at the right time".  Provide leadership in these areas across the company through a combination of direct and indirect reporting relationships.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Manage all production control activities regarding production scheduling.  Takes full ownership of the demand in the JDE ERP system. 

2. Work with the Business Unit Managers on capacity planning information and create a plan to most efficiently and effectively execute the Master Production schedule.

3. Accountable to manage annual operating budgets.

4. Coordinate with Engineering on Specials and ECNs in order to proactively address long lead time items.  Address critical path items in order to maintain continuity of supply and execution of the Master Production schedule.

5. Responsible for the motivation and development of personnel within your organization to ensure professional growth of all employees.  Completes annual succession planning to identify and develop high potential employees. 6. Ensure the highest level of integrity within the organization following established policies and legal guidelines concerning ethical relationships.  Recommends and develops improvements to policies and procedures as required.

7. Be instrumental in the supply and demand planning processes as they relate to the JD Edwards ERP system implementation.

8. Minimum of 16 hours of training annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education and/or Background):*  Bachelors in Business Administration or Engineering.*  Thorough knowledge of Production Control practices.*  Have a minimum of three years management of a Production Planning and Master Scheduling group in a manufacturing environment.*   The ability to represent the company effectively and professionally in dealings with suppliers is essential.*  Strong analytical, communication (both verbal and written), and excellent attention to detail skills are required.*  Knowledge of ISO standards is required.*  MS Office and MS Outlook proficiency are required.*  Strong MS Excel skills required.*  Past experience in writing own queries from ERP systems preferred.  *  J. D. Edwards experience is preferred.*  Must be results oriented with a "can do" attitude.*  Past ERP implementation experience preferred.*  CPIM certification preferred.
