Production Accountant
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years work experience; will likely be pursuing an accounting designation ; have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; superior communication skills, and the ability to work with several levels of management. You must have a track record of fast and accurate work with an eye for detail. Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in inventory record keeping and reporting and experience working with an integrated ERP system. Our client in the Logging industry and located on Vancouver Island, currently have an opening for an Inventory/Production Accountant to be part of their exciting team made up of dynamic and hard working individuals who thrive in this unique fast paced environment. The Inventory/Production Accountant provides production, inventory, sales and financial information to management by entering and analyzing production and accounting data; preparing reports. Responsibilities for the successful Inventory/Production Accountant include preparing daily production reports, documenting financial transactions by entering account information, recommending financial actions by analyzing data, summarizing current production status by collecting information; preparing invoices, reconciling statements, and other reports, substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents, maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures, guides management group by coordinating activities and answering questions, reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information, secures financial information by completing data base backups, maintains financial security by following internal controls, prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements, answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions, prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends, maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential, maintains detail oriented and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
