Position Description:

Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY: Participate in identifying, developing and managing significant improvement projects to increase profits within the parameters of safety, quality and service. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing groups to avoid production delays and/or production of substandard products. Interface with other departments to generate, establish, and implement acceptable solutions to equipment and process problems.Assist in implementing new or modified equipment or processes including installation, start-up and debugging activities to ensure product quality and consistency.Work with product management, manufacturing supervision, management, product engineering, and research and development personnel to make process changes to the specifications as needed to support product continuous improvement efforts.COMPETENCIES: This position requires a Bachelors degree in an engineering related discipline, with 3 – 5 years’ experience. Coated Abrasives experience is preferred. The incumbent must have a strong technical background with a thorough knowledge of product and process capability, product applications and customer requirements. Candidates must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills. He/she must be able to conceive innovative solutions to complex engineering problems, apply theoretical concepts and bring assigned projects to a timely, cost-effective and productive conclusion. Possess a working knowledge of computer software.He/she must be able to work 40 hours per week during a designated shift, plus overtime as required. Travel required as necessary.
