Product Marketing Manager (Gas Detection) Tyco Safety Products is a division of Tyco International, a worldwide leader in fire protection and electronic security solutions. Within Tyco Safety Products, we design, manufacture, and distribute thousands of products ranging from fire detection and suppression systems, personal protective equipment and intrusion security to access control and video solutions, anti-theft and supply chain solutions. Scott Health & Safety/Tyco Safety Products is currently searching for a Product Marketing Manager to be located in Monroe, North Carolina. Job Responsibilities:This is a leadership position on the Marketing Team responsible for building and maintaining gas detection product/offering business competitiveness. You will be responsible for entire product life cycle ? from strategy and opportunity definition of new products/offerings to driving requirements for improvements of existing products/offerings into development and marketing/business plans. A successful candidate will have a good grasp of marketing concepts with strong project management experience and an ability to champion marketing requirements and programs through cross-functional team: engineering (development and sustaining), sales, manufacturing, purchasing, distribution, quality assurance on global basis. Define marketing and business strategy.Marketing champion in product development process.Analyze market and customer needs to ensure optimal product/offering mix and competitiveness.Development, management of marketing campaigns.Subject matter expert to support sales organization, channel partners, and customers.Portfolio Management (including pricing, sku rationalization, cost reduction programs, etc.)Work with customer, problem solve.Requirements: Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university. 5 ? 7 years of marketing experience (or a combination of education and 10 ? 12 years of progressive directly related experience may be acceptable). Experience in Marketing & Strategic Planning as well as Global Project Management experience. Experience in the industrial or petrochemical oil and gas markets is a plus. Must possess cross functional team leadership. Must possess a fundamental understanding of marketing principles.New Product Commercialization (DFSS experience preferred.)
