Product Manager Rotational Workholding

Located at our USA Headquarters, Morrisville, NC, this position reports to the Sales Manager and works in a team environment. The Rotational Workholding Product Manager is responsible for the rotational workholding product team activities as well as coordinating sales activates to include and support our Regional Sales Managers and distribution partners. Team includes Applications Engineer, Technical Specialist and Customer Service Representative.

The major functions of this position are:
Manage day-to-day progress of product and the inside sales department activities: Manage customer contact and follow-up. Track quotes, orders and order delivery activities of subordinates. Review product design and production problems bringing all problems to solution. Responsible for daily work flow quality and quantity. Responsible for customer service and satisfaction in assigned product area. Develop sales and marketing schedules for customer contact and follow-up as well as trade show participation.
Develop and implement long-term sales and marketing processes and plans.
Travel extensively to customers sites in support of sales personnel and sales distribution partners.

Provide technical resources for both inside staff and outside sales.
Â
Work closely and cooperatively with parent company in Germany to obtain and maintain product knowledge and gain full understanding of corporate policies and practices.
Â
Promote sales of product through direct sales, independent representation and distribution partners.
 Â
Research and provide feedback regarding new product development, marketing data and product sales potential
Â
Develop strategic plans and tactics to optimize market share and profitability - you are ultimately responsible for growth and profit of this product line.
Â
Identify market size and market conditions for both our product line and the competition.
Â
Develop and maintain major “sell against" strategy for our top competitors.
Â
Qualification Requirements: Excellent communication skills with individual customers Ability to develop and deliver marketing/sales presentation to customer groups. Ability to effectively introduce respective product / products to the market. Strong project management skills. High level of engineering, sales and marketing principals. Able to work with minimum supervision. Able to motivate staff to work and function as a team to provide energetic customer service. Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects meeting customer demands and SCHUNK business needs. Understanding of the component manufacturing and sales industry, industry trends Able to formulate action plan for future sales and marketing activities. Excellent computer application skills
Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree in Engineering or technology field; Six to ten years related manufacturing and product management/development, sales and marketing experience Or equivalent combination of above education, training and experience. Prior supervisory or management experience.Â
Other Requirements Valid Driver’s License Ability to travel
