Product Development Engineer
For 150 years Bemis has been a staple in the packaging industry. The Paper Packaging Division provides industrial and consumer bags, balers, printed paper rollstock, and bag closing tapes. We also provide flexographic and rotogravure printing, and a wide variety of multiwall bags. Bemis's research and development is dedicated to advancing new product development techniques and prospecting new packaging solutions.
This position will provide product development assistance for the division’s three paper packaging plants, one of which is located in Omaha. Our engineers continuously seek opportunities to improve existing products and processes by leading projects and providing technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's or advanced degree in chemical or mechanical engineering and 3-6 years experience in a manufacturing environment. We are looking for someone with technical and creative skills as well as the ability to communicate ideas and initiatives to others. Candidates with product testing and research experience are especially desired.
