Process Metallurgist

Union Electric Steel, a recognized worldwide leader in the manufacure of forged hardened steel rolls for the rolling steel and aluminum industries, is seeking a Process Metallurgist for our plant in Carnegie, PA.

Job Summary:

Organize investigations and communicate results of Met Exams, Internal Scrap and R&D projects

Provide training and support to Project Metallurgist

Provide onsite technical support to customers for roll performance issues

Prepare depth hardness quotations

Maintain Met Lab and all equipment needed for metallurgical examination

Maintain calibration records, specifications and SOP's in the Met Lab

Requirements:

Metallurgical/Materials Science Engineering Degree

Previous internal auditor training preferrable

Ultrasonic Level II Certification

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of Products
