Process Improvement Specialist
Precoat Metals has an immediate job opening for a Process Improvement Specialist. The successful candidate will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be an integral part of the plant management team.
The Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for leading process improvement activities for the facility, iidentifying projects to meet plant yield, safety, productivity, and cost goals. Use of process improvement techniques on a daily basis to drive projects to completion and sustain the improvements. Facilitate and develop cross functional teams to ensure results. Provide support to process owners and team members through training and mentoring. Have the opportunity to share ideas and improvements across locations.
Qualifications: BS degree or equivalent preferred 1 to 2 years work experience in driving process improvement efforts. Computer literate with excellent verbal and written skills, knowledge of statistical software, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals at all levels.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with a systematic and analytical approach to solving problems, strong leadership skills and excellent management and communication skills. Must have excellent project management and be certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt within 12 months of employment.
