Our Golden Facility has an opportunity available for a talented Process Engineer . This position will be located in Golden, CO with a base pay of 56-65 K dependant on experience..Position Summary: Responsible for developing and maintaining global manufacturing competitiveness through productivity improvement. Essential Functions: -Improves, develops, and implements production/processing methods and controls to reduce cost and elevate quality standards in a cost effective manner. -Lap and Polish machinery experience desired -Tape Casting Experience desired -Proven Problem Solving ability -Uses numerous sources of financial and production information to evaluate and prioritize process improvement activities, including but not limited to: completed orders, product cost, scrap reporting, SPC, labor reporting, facility statistics and other exception reporting. -Assignments may include process layout, material handling, work measurement and methods analysis, equipment design, development or specification, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation and other activities requiring knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques commonly employed in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. -Applies statistical and financial techniques to quantify and document improvements. -Develops and maintains written standards on the production processes, and all improvements. -Trains effected employees on improvements and new methods of production. -Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques, Theory of Constraints, and traditional manufacturing practices. -Significant experience applying/implementing Lean, TOC, Six Sigma or other TQM process improvement methodologies. -Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably MFG/PRO. -Software knowledge: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and MasterCAM. -Performs detail-oriented tasks utilizing very high math skills and very effective communication skills. -Must participate in relevant continuing education. Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a materials engineering discipline and at least one year directly applicable experience desired.
