Principle Tooling Engineer

Manufacturing/Production/Operations       Total Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Job Description Designs industrial machinery and equipment and machine attachments required for production or experimental use. Designs industrial machinery and equipment and machine attachments required for production or experimental use. Technical support in the design and reliability of high cavitations molding tools, processes and molding equipment for the manufacturing of Class II medical devices. This position requires maintaining a high level of mechanical efficiency of all existing production equipment. Developing and improving plant production techniques and process through direction and supervision of design, construction, maintenance and improvements.Requirements: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent, from an accredited four year college or university. 5-10 years experience in injection molding, tooling, mold design and mold construction. Experience in a production and/or maintenance supervisory position preferred. Working knowledge of computer aided drafting and ability to read/produce mechanical drawings. Working knowledge of material properties, pneumatic/hydraulic systems design and machining processes is required. Strong written and oral communication to include technical communication skills (both oral and written) to accurately convey technical issues and information. Mechanical design abilities with a working knowledge of tool making, mold making and plastic injection molding. Must be a team leader and have the ability to develop the talents of the engineering subordinates.
