Pre-Production Mac Operator

Applied Image, Inc. is a large format digital imaging and environmental graphics manufacturer. We utilize state of the art printing processes to produce the country’s finest corporate, retail, museum and exhibit graphics. We are a growing company looking for an additional team member.

We are currently seeking a Mac Operator/Second Shift Supervisor. Utilizing a variety of graphics software packages, the Mac Operator prepares digital files for large format print and CNC output, including color correction and output adjustment to exacting client specifications. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot, design and develop production solutions with attention towards process and materials, while assuring the highest quality of finished product. Working with Sales, Project Management, and Production staff, the Mac Operator/Second Shift Supervisor will contribute heavily to the process of transitioning projects from design to fabrication and installation.

This position supervises Second Shift, making sure that daily production goals are met, while assuring that manufacturing procedures and processes are effectively executed by the Second Shift Production staff. A general knowledge of digital print production and some supervisory experience are required.

To qualify as a candidate for this position you must possess excellent operating skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Quark. The candidate must be proficient with MAC OS X and Windows. This position requires a strong ability to communicate, organizational skills, analytical skills, strong graphic sensibilities, and attention to precise detail in a fast-paced environment.
