The MillerCoors-Milwaukee Brewery has openings for Powerhouse Operators / Mechanics. The openings will include overtime as required to meet the brewery's needs.All candidates must either have at least a 2nd class boiler license (from either the National Institute of the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers or the American Society of Power Engineers, Inc.) if currently residing within Wisconsin or obtain such a license within 180 days of starting at Miller if currently residing out of state. /All candidates must also be capable of lifting and carrying 50 pounds; be capable of pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds properly; be able to become SCBA qualified; and must be able to operate and service powerhouse equipment.The successful candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, challenge the status quo, and function well within the core value matrix. The successful candidates must have solid communication skills and the potential to deal with all levels of plant and corporate personnel. The ability to work evenings and weekends is required.Powerhouse Operators / MechanicsSuccessful candidates must have a strong passion for results. They also must be qualified to:* Operate and control all steam boilers and auxiliary equipment in an efficient manner.* Conserve energy while supplying uninterrupted service to internal customers.* Operate and control utility panels that monitor equipment to maintain utility services to the Brewery.* Maintain and record entries in logbook, operating logs, and SPCC reports.* Fill out incident reports for all ammonia releases.* To follow all Ammonia Emergency Procedures as prescribed by OSHA PSM Program.* Operate and control all operations associated with the synchronizing panel, 26,000-volt power distribution and secondary feed to substations.* Operate and control air compressors in an efficient manner without interruptions to production.* Operate and control all ammonia compressors and condensers in an efficient manner with out interruptions to production.* Operate, controls and analyzes problems in the CO2 collection, purification, liquefied, reclaim and distribution systems.* Make sound mechanical judgments during preventive and correct equipment maintenance.* Read and interpret OEM Manuals.* Perform minor mechanical piping repairs* Read precision instruments.* Perform preventive maintenance and overhauls in accordance to good manufacturing practices, on utility systems which include but are not limited to the following: * Compressed air (compressors, dryers, filters, etc.) * Ammonia (compressors, condensers, air units, chillers, pumps, etc.) * CO2 (compressors, scrubbers, deodorizers, filters, dryers, vaporizers, pumps, tanks, etc.) * Turbo-generator * Steam (Boilers, Forced Draft fans, Flue Gas Recirc Fans, high pressure feed pumps, air pre-heaters, deaerators, steam reducing stations, etc.) * Soft water (softeners, degasifiers, etc.) * Fuel Oil (pumps, heaters, storage tanks, etc.) * Purified process water (filters, pumps, chlorine injection, etc.) * Kathabar and Niagara (air units, regenerators, etc.) * Glycol (pumps, surge tanks, filters, etc.) * HVAC (heating, air conditioning, exhaust, etc.) * Lubricates equipment assigned to Utilities * All other equipment currently maintained by Utilities Department.The successful candidates must have the appropriate licensure (at least a 2nd class boiler license from either the National Institute of the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers or the American Society of Power Engineers, Inc) or, if presently residing out of state, obtain such licensure within 180 days of starting employment.All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and physical plus a written skill assessment test.
