Plant and Purchasing Administrator

MultiServ is currently a seeking a Plant and Purchasing Administrator based in our Birmingham, AL, location. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

 

Essential Functions: This position is responsible for purchasing and administrative functions and will report to the Plant Superintendent. Duties include, but not limited to:Entering purchase order requests and receiving information via JDE systemAssist with the ordering of repairs for heavy equipment, maintenance parts, and suppliesMaintains control over purchasing receipts and costsResolves problem invoicesReconciles all purchasing audit reportsMonitors and controls spare parts inventory and assists with cycle countsAssists Site Management with the compilation of data for financial reports and month-end reportsFiling and other clerical duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:Associate degree or equivalent, in business or related fieldMinimum of 2 years experience in procurement/inventory control or similar positionStrong analytical and decision making skills and aability to resolve administrative issues and problemsAbility to use Microsoft Office products--Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, etcFunctional understanding of Purchasing or Inventory softwareStrong communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and writtenWillingness to travel approximately once a year

Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with JD Edwards Purchasing and Inventory ModulesPrior experience in similar environment
