Plant/Machine Shop Manager
The Kurt J. Lesker Company, a manufacturer and distributor of vacuum science products, is looking for a Plant Manager to run our 60 person machining and fabrication plant. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the plant with the goal of producing quality, on-time products for our customers. This position is also responsible for ensuring the plant evolves its methods, equipment and people to suite our growing business needs.
Responsibilities:
· Operate and manage the plant
· Set Manufacturing policies
· Manage and adjust staff to meet business needs
· Cultivate key leaders within the Manufacturing departments
· Establish project and job priorities
· Establish key metrics and measure change
· Process Improvements
· Provide job cost analysis
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
· 10 years Manufacturing/Management experience
· Strong working knowledge of modern manufacturing practices
· Exceptional analytical, evaluative, and problem solving skills
· Strong machining knowledge
· Excellent communication, organization, and management skills
· Proven leader
· Job shop experience is preferred
