Position Summary:Ownership of the plant's technical documentation including all engineering drawings, permits, studies, calculations, etc., including maintenance and updating in accordance with Company standards. Manage or provide stewardship and oversight for the plant's maintenance function. Ensure alignment with the company wide maintenance strategy and systems, including the tracking and use of the standard maintenance metrics. Provide overall stewardship for the entire plant facility and grounds and insure proper address of FM requirements and internal facility audits. Maintain the plant's 3 year, Capital Facility Maintenance and Improvement Plan. Assure future expansion and space utilization follows the plant's Master Site plan. Accountable for the plant's fixed asset base and its management. Assure fixed asset lists/mapping are kept up to date and accurate. Assure the timely and appropriate project capitalization and closeout of projects, as well as the disposition of surplus, scrap and idle assets. Prepare, conduct internal plant reviews and manage the plant's annual and 3 year capital program. Review and communicate all external requests for New Products, Reformulations, New Packages, etc. and assure personal and internal plant review (Plant Manager, Operations personnel) of prepared feasibility responses including: technical assessment, scope, cost estimates, implementation timeline/schedule; risk assessment, options analysis, etc. Monitor project executions to assure that they are meeting cost, schedule and scope expectations. Promptly notify the Operations Engineering Manager (OEM) of any significant cost, schedule or technical deviations. Insure proper & timely submission of requires project status reports. Accountable for the mentoring and coaching of the plant's engineering personnel, including those that may not directly report to the Plant Engineer Manager. Obtain OEM concurrence on hiring, promotion, filling of open positions and changes in responsibilities for plant engineering personnel. Periodically update OEM on the performance, development plans and career interests of plant engineering personnel. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree, Engineering Minimum of 8 years in a manufacturing environment (packaging and process) Capital Project Management experience with projects over $3MM Experience leading and managing 24/7, mult-shift operating teams Experience leading and managing professionals- engineers and managers Desired Qualifications: World Class Manufacturing experience in a consumer products or process industry Maintenance, facilities and operating team leadership Environmental and safety leadership
