The purpose of this position is to supervise the electrical/electronic instrumentation, HVAC maintenance and repairs in the Coke Plant area.  This position will be responsible ensuring workforce safety and providing leadership for implementation of: new projects, equipment upgrade activities, electrical maintenance practices, and preventive maintenance programs.  The position will also be responsible for maintaining complete maintenance history for electrical equipment, resolving major electrical problems within the department, planning repair work on downturns, meeting with vendors to discuss equipment application and problems, review new or revised equipment design and/or arrangement with Engineering personnel, recording and tracing histories of equipment, supervising inventory of electrical spare parts, instructing employees in proper work practices and procedures, initiating, work orders, purchase requisitions, repair and miscellaneous expense requisitions.  The position will also be responsible for assuring compliance with OSHA, IDEM, and EPA requirements.

 

Experience Requirements:
 
Minimum/Basic Requirements:
3 years experience in heavy industry. An electrical background with troubleshooting capabilities. Knowledge of various Coke Plant equipment.
