Payroll Accountant

We are seeking a self motivated Accountant to join our team. This individual must be willing to be a hands on player, have the ability to multi-task, and work with minimal supervision. The Accountant will be primarily responsible for handling the U.S. payroll for approximately 100 employees and be the primary point of contact to the payroll provider.  In addition, this individual will assist with A/R & A/P functions as needed.  This position will be exposed to multiple areas of accounting and financial reporting and will interact with the senior management of the company. This position has tremendous opportunity for advancement.


Responsibilities:

 

Payroll AdministrationAccounts payable.Balance sheet account reconciliations.Preparation of journal entries.Streamlining of internal processes.Management of accounts receivable, including reporting to management & operations.Other projects as assigned.



Qualifications:

 

2 years minimum accounting and finance experience.Associates degree in Accounting or Finance requiredExceptional organizational/problem solving skills.Strong work ethic with a commitment to high standards of excellence.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Solid understanding of general accounting principles.Excellent interpersonal, verbal/written communication.Well developed financial and business acumen/analytical skills.Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel.Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.Prior experience in dealing with payroll providers helpfulPrior experience with Macola ERP system helpful
