PURCHASING SUPPORT/JR. BUYER
Support our commodity traders and buyers. The primary responsibilities of this position are to troubleshoot and research issues, insure accuracy of purchasing data, respond to sales & customer requests, maintain commodity databases, market research, price system maintenance, price quotes and purchasing certain products. This is a new position in the department.
To qualify for this position you must possess:
· A bachelors degree – 4 year degree – Experience & 2 year degree considered
· Excellent math abilities, good understanding of math concepts and formulas
·Minimum of two years experience in a fast paced purchasing department with minimum experience in buying products from vendors. Food and/or Commodities background a plus.
·Knowledge of supply chain process in a distribution environment
·Strong organizational skills, ability to work with minimum supervision, strong analytic skills, verbal & written communication ability
·Proven computer skills – Microsoft Office applications – Excel proficiency a must. Navision experience a plus.
