PRODUCTION SHIFT SUPERVISOR
Second Shift
The Production Supervisor 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing functions in Filling, Dispersion, Small Batch and CARC (Specialty Paint) to ensure customer satisfaction in both quality of product and on-time delivery while maintaining company standards as relates to safety, cost control and processes.
Responsibilities:
· Organize and schedule the department’s production activities based on input from first shift supervisors and department manager
· Assign the work to departments through lead operators
· Works with the Director of Liquid Operations on cost control of repair and operating supplies, waste generation, labor costs and other areas that may be assigned
· Trains new operators on department operations
· Conducts regular training for existing employees to ensure employee growth
· Conducts training to comply with safety regulations
· Champions safety and housekeeping initiatives and communicate them to all employees
· Monitors quality of products produced to ensure adherence to company standards
· Interviews possible new employees
· Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
· Preferred minimum education level: High school diploma or equivalent.
· Preferred experience level: Two to four years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably chemicals or coatings
· One the three years production supervisory experience strongly preferred
· Excellent communication skills
· Good computer skills
· Willing to work in a team environment
· Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner
