Job Description PPI/Lean Manufacturing Director Position Summary: The LCD Director of PPI is an exciting new opportunity and is responsible for developing and implementing the infrastructure, resources, tools, metrics and methods to embed Practical Process Improvement (PPI) as a “way-of-life” within LCD as well as drive a world class Customer Allegiance program for LCD. With focus on Customer Allegiance, provides detailed guidance to all levels of division management to aggressively introduce and advance PPI as the continuous improvement culture within the division. As part of the PPI methodology responsible for initiating and proliferating lean manufacturing concepts and additional continuous improvement tools and methods as required, leading key projects and assisting as necessary in any integration projects or acquisitions. Also responsible for implementing and monitoring initiatives, systems and processes to measure customer perception of commercial, service and product quality affecting customer allegiance including collecting and analyzing customer satisfaction data like CAS, LOTC and complaint management metrics.Will teach the PPI methodology to PPI teams and coach them through projects and be the liaison with divisional and commercial leaders to improve the overall customer experience. The PPI/Customer Allegiance Director reports into the Global VP of Operations for LCD with a dotted-line into the Thermo Fisher VP of PPI. This position may be located at any of the LCD Sites.Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field with PPI Process Manager Certification. - Broad knowledge of how to link Customer Allegiance and continuous improvement with business goals and ROI methodology. - Exceptional analytical capability and proven problem solving. - Detailed knowledge of quality theory and continuous improvement methodologies and tools. - Strong experience in Lean MFG / Lean Business Practices. - Self motivated with a passion for leading customer focused improvement and change - Minimum of five years in a managerial and / or technical leadership role - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Be willing to travel domestically and internationally (routinely 60%) - Must be comfortable working as a team member across cultures and influence others to achieve results - Have excellent interpersonal, time management, decision-making and conflict management skills - Comfortable in conversing at all levels within the organization. - Ability to multi-task - Demonstrates the Thermo Scientific Values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement Education: BachelorsJob Level: Director
